Croc Flops

I am not a crochet pattern writer, but I provided video for assistance if my writing doesn't make much sense. If any of you seasoned crocheter would like to make suggestions on how to write this better please feel free to shoot me a message. I used a size k or 6.5mm hook, about 95 yards of a bulky yarn, high temp hot glue gun, store bought cheap size 7-8 flip flops. This I would classify as an easy crochet pattern. The pattern will fit from a size 7 womens foot to a size 9 based on the women in my house trying on the shoes.
