Inspired by the local wool close to my Dad's childhood home, the Close to Home hat is the perfect transitional piece to take you from Summer to Winter and back again. Knit in the beautiful Daughter of a Shepherd Hebridean and Zwartbles DK this hat is lightweight yet incredibly warm and shows off the cable and rib pattern beautifully. Suitable for confident beginners to advanced knitters, this one skein project is knit bottom-up, in the round and has both written and charted instructions.
This pattern was inspired by Daughter of a Shepherd's DK yarn but you could also use The Fibre Co Arranmore Light.
Sizes: Baby (Child, Teen, Adult, Large Adult) to fit 40.5 (45.5, 51, 56, 61) cm/ 16 (18, 20, 22, 24)” head.
