Easy to read pattern. I HAVE MADE 5 so far, using different yarns. they are very cute. I used a larger yarn and it now fits a Kinder Egg. my granddaughters fav. so I have two sizes of chicken and I looked aat pictures of chicken combs, they have different styles. so I made a flat sort of comb for one. IT KNITS UP WELL.

Great pattern. Easy to follow. Loved by all, young and old.
I used regular four ply yarn for this pattern because I didn't want to have to go by a different weight. The four ply yarn works up for a size that fits a typical plastic egg made for egg hunts. Everybody loved these chickens and they were really easy to do. The little extra pieces, the comb and the wattles, eyes and Beak were not difficult but it was probably the most time consuming part. Even so, I was able to make a couple dozen of these over two week. Highly recommended.
