Chicken egg cosy

This pattern gives you the instructions to knit, and add crochet detail to, a chicken egg cosy that would cheer any breakfast table! - This fat hen will keep the eggs warm, as well as looking cute.

For this pattern you need to be able to knit in the round, decrease and cast off. You also need to be able to crochet a chain.

You will need approximately 15 yards of bulky/chunky pure wool in creamy white- if you wish to felt the chicken. Alternatively, you can use 15 yards of worsted/aran weight yarn without felting. And small amounts of red, yellow and green in the same yarn. This pattern is for personal use only.
