Chevron Lace Cowl

This cowl is a replica of one that a friend of mine bought from a well-known UK supermarket - it looked so striking I couldn't resist working out a similar pattern in order to make my own version. After blocking the cowl measures 150cm before the ends are joined together, making it a generous size - big enough to be wrapped twice round or even three times if you want to be really cosy! What's really great is that only one 100g skein of yarn is needed. I haven't given a gauge because the cowl stretches so much with blocking but the yarn used knits to a standard 4ply tension.
