My opinion?  My own design, of course, inspired by several antique laces, a field of flowers and an unusual “multi-garment for men” pattern that was published more than a hundred years ago.  This wrap can be worn as pictured, covering the shoulders and upper arms, or with the long ends hanging down the front and back, tabard-style.  Make just one panel, add buttons to the short edges, and you have a lovely cowl…leave off the buttons and it makes a gorgeous scarf.  You can even add buttons just below the elbows to create cuffs.  Make it any way you like it!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe sample was made using 5 50-gr skeins of the lovely Elizabeth Lavold Silky Wool, color 149, Vintage Rose, and an H\/8\/5mm hook.
