The edging can be worked using a small amount of contrast colour yarn, or using the same colour yarn as the main part of the mitt.
The pattern can be made using any Double Knitting weight yarn of the required metreage. 6 small buttons are required for the cuff fastening; these thread through the holes between the crochet stitches.
