Product Description
Say hello to Brownie the Circus Bear! Brownie is an adorable chubby bear that dreams of joining the circus. He’s been working really hard and training with the best. Brownie loves pastel colours, making people smile with his tricks, and most of all, he loves brownies.
The pattern is written in U.S. terminology and contains step-by-step pictures. The main part of this project is worked in rounds so you might want to use a stitch marker to mark the end of each round. There is no specific gauge for this project, just try to keep it tight and even throughout each piece. All pieces are made in La Mia Cottony yarn, but any similar DK weight yarn will work. This project is worked with a 3mm crochet hook and uses 8mm safety eyes. If you use a different yarn fiber you might need to adapt the size of the safety eyes..

- Working in continuous rounds to build seamless fabric
- Increasing and decreasing stitches to shape body parts
- Stuffing and assembly techniques for finishing the toy
Stitches Included
- Single crochet as the primary stitch for dense, sturdy fabric
- Magic ring or chain foundation methods for starting rounds
- Increases (typically through multiple stitches in one stitch) for shaping
- Decreases for tapering and finishing details
Materials Required
Yarn: DK weight yarn in pastel colors of your choice. DK weight provides an ideal balance for amigurumi, creating fabric that's neither too loose nor too tight, making it perfect for beginners working on toy projects.
Tools: An appropriate crochet hook sized for DK weight yarn, typically a size that creates tight, even stitches suitable for stuffed toys. You'll also need fiberfill or polyester stuffing to fill the bear and bring it to life.
Skill Level
This pattern is rated for beginner crocheters, making it an excellent introduction to toy making and amigurumi techniques. The straightforward stitch work and clear construction method allow new crafters to successfully complete a finished, three-dimensional toy while developing essential skills.
