Broomstick Granny Top with Flower

Discover an original interpretation of broomstick lace with this lightweight sleeveless top, designed using the Naturofils Broomstick Granny Square technique.

The top is constructed from two large square panels worked in the round. Alternating broomstick lace with open squares creates a light, graphic checkerboard effect. The panels are joined seamlessly through the loops of the final round, forming the shoulders, armholes and side seams without sewing.

Additional rounds extend the squares into rectangles, while decorative loop finishes create an original edging inspired by broomstick lace.

The top is completed with a removable felt flower made from yarn leftovers. The flower can be sewn onto the garment or attached to a brooch pin.
