Product Description
Boothill pullover is a modern, slight A-Line shape with a flattering split hem and straight bracelet length sleeves. It’s knit seamlessly and in the round from the top down.
This easy pullover features a multi-color, textured slip stitch yoke and sleeves. You knit with just one color per round! You’ll essentially be knitting the pattern in two round stripes, with slip stitches and the occasional planned purl. What makes this design extra special is the addition of a new yarn, Berroco Tiramisu.
The Slip Stitch Pattern is written line by line and charted for your knitting style preference.

Boothill Knit Sweater by Martha Wissing
Garment Overview
Boothill is an intermediate-level knit sweater designed by Martha Wissing. This pullover style garment is available in seven sizes ranging from 33½" to 59" bust measurement, with finished lengths between 21½" and 25" depending on size. The sweater is designed with 2 to 4 inches of positive ease for a comfortable, relaxed fit.
Construction and Techniques
This knit sweater is constructed using circular knitting needles, which allows for seamless or minimal-seam construction typical of modern sweater design. The garment features both front and back pieces with distinct length measurements, indicating a shaped silhouette. The design incorporates colorwork elements using multiple yarn colors to create visual interest and pattern definition throughout the piece.
Stitches and Stitch Patterns
While specific stitch patterns are referenced in the pattern document, the construction utilizes fundamental knitting techniques suitable for intermediate-level crafters. The use of circular needles in multiple lengths (16", 24", and 32") suggests the pattern includes ribbed edgings and body sections that transition between different needle sizes, a common technique for achieving proper gauge and fabric structure in fitted knitwear.
Yarn and Materials
The Boothill sweater uses a combination of premium yarns:
- Main Color (MC): Berroco Ultra Alpaca in Tiger Eye Mix (#6292), a luxurious alpaca blend yarn with 219 yards per 100g hank. Yardage required ranges from 4 to 7 hanks depending on size.
- Contrast Color 1 (CC1): Berroco Ultra Alpaca in Charcoal (#6289), the same yarn base as the main color, used for accent colorwork. One hank is required for all sizes.
- Contrast Color 2 (CC2): Berroco Tiramisu in Pizzelle (#9227), a lighter-weight yarn with 137 yards per 50g ball, used for additional color definition. Two to three balls are needed depending on size.
Needles and Tools
The pattern requires circular knitting needles in two sizes to achieve proper gauge and fabric characteristics. Size 7 (4.5 mm) circular needles in 16", 24", and 32" lengths are used for the main body and sleeves, while size 6 (4 mm) circular needles in 16" and 32" lengths are used for ribbed edgings and transitions. Needle selection may vary slightly depending on the knitter's gauge and the specific size being worked.
Skill Level and Difficulty
Boothill is rated as an easy to intermediate-level project, making it suitable for knitters with some experience in garment construction. The pattern requires understanding of circular knitting techniques, colorwork integration, and basic shaping methods. The use of multiple yarn colors and needle sizes adds complexity while remaining accessible to intermediate crafters.
