Techniques Used

This cowl is worked flat using several advanced knitting techniques that create visual interest and structural detail. The pattern incorporates cable work, which involves crossing groups of stitches over one another to create the characteristic twisted rope-like textures. An I-Cord is created along the inner edge by slipping the first 3 stitches knitwise on right-side rows and purling them on wrong-side rows, producing a neat, finished edge. Ribbing is constructed by alternating pairs of stockinette stitch and reverse stockinette stitch rows across the final 8 stitches, creating vertical columns of texture.
