Being Green

When I set out to create this shawl, I wanted something to use up the Rosy Green Wool I had left over from previous projects. The design flowed together so seamlessly that it wasn’t until long after I was finished that I recognized the unconscious inspiration influencing the placement of coulours. Luebeck, my home town, is also the home of a very talented weaver, Ruth Loebe, and her choice of colours must have been in the back of my mind when designing this shawl.

You will need four colours: • Main colour (MC): 320 m (350 yd)/100 g • Contrast colour 1 (CC1): 192 m (210 yd)/60 g • Contrast colour 2 (CC2): 256 m (280 yd)/80 g • Contrast colour 3 (CC3): 32 m (35 yd)/10 g
