Bavarde Hat

Bavarde is the perfect toque for any girl!

Simple, crisp and with a fun brim, it knits up in no time.

“Bavarde” is the French word for chatty: my darling daughter (pictured wearing the hat) is often called “une bavarde” (a chatterbox) in school.

This hat comes in 5 different sizes, including a doll’s size.

Yarn 25 (30, 35, 40, 50) g, 65 (75, 90, 100, 125) m/ 69 (82, 96, 110, 137) ydof any worsted-weight yarn that will give the correct gauge. Samples are knit in De Rerum Natura Gilliatt, Worsted/10 ply, 100% merino, 100 g, 250m (273 yd), colourway Confiture de Rose
