BASIC Socken Light

Simple everyday socks that always go well, whether sporty with sneakers or casual with boots. The socks are worked as toe-up socks from the tip of the toe up to the cuff.

Techniques used: Magic CO, form 2 stitches out of 1 stitch (kfb, kbf), short rows using Shadow Wraps, stretchy BO with yarn overs or the ‚Tubular bind off‘-Method’.

YARN

100 g ‚Merida‘ by Lamana (50% Pure Wool, 25% Silk, 25% Polyamide; 200 m/50 g) or

100 g ‚High Twist concept‘ by Atelier Zitron (80% Pure Wool, 20% Polyamide; 200 m/50 g) or

100 g ‚Balance‘ by Atelier Zitron (60% Pure Wool, 40% Tencel; 200 m/50 g)

For the sporty socks with stripes some leftover yarn in two contrasting colors.

NEEDLES

Circular needle (60 or 80 cm/24” or 32”) size 2,5 mm (US 1 or 2/UK 13 or 12) for the ‚Magic Loop Method‘

or dpns size 2,5 mm (15 or 20 cm long)
