Barrel Riders Sock

This sock was designed for the Sheepy Time Knits Hobbit Club, based on the chapter “Barrels Out of Bond”. The sock features a gently waving travelling stitch to mimic the current of the Forest River, and a unique barrel-patterned heel.

Finished Size: S (M, L) [7” (8”, 8.5” around), unstretched]

Yarn: Sheepy Time Knits Sheepy Feet, 75% Superwash wool/25% nylon, 464 yards/100g. Sample knit in Barrel Riders.

Needles: Set of 5 double-pointed needles or two circular needles US size 1 (2.5 mm), or size to obtain gauge

Gauge: 8.5 stitches per inch in twist pattern, 8 stitches per inch in stockinette, knit in the round.
