Baby Wren

Baby Wren is a lovely short sleeved cardigan for little ladies worked from the bottom up and requiring minimal finishing. It has a sweet patterned edge and a two button closure that gives it a flyaway silhouette.

You can use any worsted weight yarn you choose. The samples were knit in Plymouth Yarn Encore Worsted and required 1 (1, 2, 2) skeins. Estimated yardages are as follows:

0-6 month size--180 yards 6-12 month size--210 yards 12-18 month size--250 yards 18-24 month size--300 yards

You will also need 5.5mm/US Size 9 24" circular needles and 5.5mm/US Size 9 DPNs (or the size needed to obtain gauge) and 2-5/8" buttons.

When knit to gauge (16 stitches & 20 rows = 4") the chest circumferences work out as follows:

0-6 months--18" 6-12 months--20" 12-18 months--22" 18-24 months-24"
