Introducing Angels All Around Us – big sister to Pay It Forward (an earlier design), the buttoned-up vest is longer this time, with pockets. And just like her sibling, this design is knit flat, bottom-up and seamless, in Garter Rib, an easy-to-remember 3-stitch by 2-row repeat. The armhole and collar trims and button laps are worked in ribbing from stitches picked up along their edges – wide ribbing of knits and purls in contrasting color, and in rhythm complimentary to its overall Garter Rib. Pocket linings are worked separately, in Garter Rib too, and inserted to the bodice just above the hips, resuming the stitch sequence found there. Their contrasting color peeks though. Dress it up or down, it’s perfect for layering and seasonal transitions. Enjoy!
