Above Tree Line Hat

The Above Tree Line Hat is a nice and thick, super warm hat that is knit using my Barrel Stitch pattern. You can see the stitches look like little barrels. It’s an easy stitch to master and creates a thick fabric that will keep your head warm when you’re up on the mountain…above tree line.

The hat is knit on any 3/8” gauge loom with 72 pegs (like the All N One loom or KB’s Premium Hat loom) and uses approximately 300 yards of Red Heart’s Hygge yarn (a bulky 5).

This pattern is suitable for a confident beginner loom knitter. You only need to know how to e-wrap knit and how to purl.
