40th Anniversary 14 Tirrick Shawl - Knitting Pattern for Women in Valley Yarns Charlemont

The Tirrick Shawl, designed by Gudrun Johnston for Valley Yarns, is based off of a simple Shetland lace pattern with an eye-catching effect. Knit on a background of stockinette, not garter as is most common in Shetland lace patterns, this lacy semi-circular shawl is knit from the widest edge in five wedge sections. Each section decreases at the same rate until you end up with only a few stitches left. Note: Lace pattern is both charted and written out.

Needles: US 5 (3.75mm) 40” circular or size needed to get gauge
Gauge: 25 sts and 25 rows = 4” in Lace Pattern
