Product Description

Inspired by 1940s knitting and designed for a very fine lace-weight yarn, a much more popular type of yarn for hand-knitting in the '40s than it is today. There is a keyhole loop and one end of the scarf can be threaded through the other. Instructions are included for how to make the keyhole loop. The scarf is knit in double-moss stitch (K2, P2).

The sample is knit in Z Hinchcliffe & Sons Lambswool in white, a good alternative is Todd & Duncan Lamaine Geelong Lambswool. Other lace-weight or 2-ply yarns may also be suitable such as West Yorkshire Spinners' Exquisite, Malabrigo Lace or Rowan's Fine Lace yarns.
