1:12th scale Kissing bough

Although the crochet pattern is not complicated, it is very fiddly to work in this scale, so this project is more suited to someone with experience of miniature crochet work.

Materials required:

0.60 mm and 0.75 mm crochet hooks; 100 metres size 80 crochet cotton in dark or solid  green; 50 metres size 80 crochet cotton in variegated or lighter green; 30 cm x 2mm wide red silk ribbon; 2 x metal plant rings about 3 cm/1¼-inches diameter; 30-60 cm/12 to 24-inch length of brown (or green) florist tape; sewing needle, optional – cocktail stick, miniature apples or red beads to represent berries. Note: Small paper leaves or red glass beads may be added to give texture to the kissing bough.
