Product Details
Leaves blowing in the wind. Not your everyday pattern. Not all written, not all charts.....something a little different.
The asymmetrical shawl is shaped through simple increase (kfb) and decreased (k2tog) on both the right and left edge of knitting. Beginning at the smaller end, the leaves grow in size as the width of the shawl also increased. In all, 6 different sized leaves. The crocheted picot edge is added on agter the shawl is knit.
I am presenting this pattern as a road map. I show the direction and how far to go in each row, just follow the signs along the way. If you get lost, give me a shout.
All rows are knit, so no fancy stitches with the exception of the short rows. I use the Double Stitch method, so easy. YouTube video, Mimi Kezer, German Short row.
I used Schoppel-Wolle Edition 3 for the leaves, 2 skeins, 325 yds. sport weight.
Finished size after wet blocking and using these yarns, 22" down the middle, 68" across the shoulders.
