I'm not 100% satisfied with the quality of the yarn. It has numerous knots and uneven thickness throughout. Otherwise, the stitch definition is beautiful, and it slides nicely on the needles.
I have used it in the past and I have been so enthusiastic with the result that I wanted it again for a new cardigan I am making. It was very easy to work with, and the couple of cardigans I have made in the past with Willow Lark Poetry are very soft and warm. Furthermore, after a few washings, they look new still.
My experience with the Willow Lark Poetry yarn has been mixed. It doesn't split, but it doesn't knit up particularly evenly. The balls are wound in such a way that you have to rewind each one before starting to knit, otherwise it tangles towards the end. Also, there are too many knots in the ball, three in the current ball so far and I've only used half of it. Overall, not a great experience. Won't buy it again.
I've used it several times for garments. I'm using it for cardigans and sweaters. It washes well and needs depilled occasionally.
I love Willow and Lark yarns. Poetry is a very light yarn mix of wool, camel and acrylic, very light and warm with a distinct twist. However it only has 115mts to 50 grms so more yarn is needed to complete a garment. I will certainly use this yarn again.
I made a double-wrap snood as a birthday present for my sister. I used 8 of "Red Rose" yarn. The yarn was very easy to work with, so I was able to finish it in just two days.
Lovely soft yarn, knits up well with good stitch definition. Have used several times for grandchildren’s jumpers - .washes well and soft next to skin.
Lovely wool. Soft and gentle on the hands, unlike some that make my hands itch. Easy to knit with, rarely splits. Have made a baby shawl and ordered a different shade to make baby clothes. I haven't washed it yet so can't comment on that.
Beautifully soft and so easy to knit with. Doesn’t split easily. Also a great colour range. I’m knitting a hoodie for my three year old granddaughter who is very sure of her preference for yellow and hates anything itchy. Hopefully she will be pleased.
I've already made this sweater, a cardigan and a shawl with Poetry, it's one of my favorite yarns. Very soft, not too big not too thin, perfect for many works and always has satisfied me.
