You can also knit it without the horn, so it is also a toy pony knitting pattern! In the photos you can see that we've used this unicorn toy pattern to create a rainbow unicorn and a multi-colored unicorn from self-striping yarn. Lots of options to create your own diy unicorn!
Size The knitting pattern gives instructions for two sizes of toy unicorn, small and large. However, depending on the yarn and needle size you choose, your unicorn could be a variety of sizes. As a rough guide, using worsted yarn, size 8 (5mm) needles and the large size pattern will produce a unicorn about 10 inches high, and using DK/light worsted yarn, size 6 (4mm) needles and the small size pattern will produce a unicorn about 6 inches high.
