100% Merino Wool, 263yds (240m)/100g (3.53oz), DK | Light Worsted

Product Description

Bloomsbury DK is a beautiful silky soft DK weight yarn, spun from the softest merino wool. This hand-dyed yarn is perfect for knitting cosy sweaters and scarves and will knit to any DK weight pattern. Bloomsbury has a wonderfully soft handle that is luxuriously gentle on the skin, and suitable for all types of knitting and crochet. The final spun thread has been plied together with just enough twist to prevent pilling but to allow the fabric to softly drape.

The 10 launch colours have been personally designed by Irish designer Carol Feller. Known for designing knitwear that is well shaped, flattering to wear and enjoyable to knit Carol likes to work with different construction methods, so long as they enhance the knitting experience. Carol has divided the palette into three sets of colours that work well together and enhance each other: Blues, Fall and Fuchsia.

Beautiful Shop with Varity of Crafts

This yarn is amazing. It is a 100% merino, soft and a joy to work with. It doesn't split, holds its twist so that even if you have to unwind stitches and reknit. Stitches are well defined so it would work well with cables.

Really love this yarn and so pleased to catch a discount offer so I bought the copper for my grandson’s jumper( wouldn’t normally use such an expensive yarn for a growing child). It is knitting up beautifully with good distribution of colour. Had to use 3.75mm needles to get correct tension when I am normally spot on with 4mm for DK yarn.

My “go to” company for wool and patterns.

This is one of the nicest yarns I have ever used in decades of knitting. Consistent thickness, beautifully dyed and no knots.

Beautiful yarn and color is lovely in person. Was not a fan of the actual color in the picture but is what the person I am using it for picked out, however the color and all the variations in it look beautiful when stitched up. Has amazing depth. Very soft, I have sensitive fingers and this was smooth and did not cause any irritation as I worked with it.

Love it!

I got a few skeins initially and loved the color and feel but they had a dusty smell to them. I’ve had yarn from other places with that smell and it came out in washing so I’m not too worried. One skein was tied a bit sloppy and ended up getting horribly tangled. I wasn’t pleased at first but once I started knitting with it, I fell in love and ordered a sweater’s quantity. It’s very soft and feels so nice and squishy and it makes beautiful cables. Even with the color variations, they really...
