Product Details
Galveston, TX has a rich victorian history. There you can tour homes that withstood the great hurricane, such as Bishop’s Palace. The lace pattern I used for this design has a romantic feel and reminded me of those homes and the people that lived there in the early 1900s. The shawl is a right triangle, with the lace pattern panel placed off center on the bottom edge. You can make it any size, and work either from charts or the full written instructions. Use any yarn weight up to light worsted, just be sure to adjust your yarn requirements accordingly. This design should be blocked firmly (I used a blocking wire on the bound off edge.)
