This pattern is written in US terms. This is an ad free copy of my pattern from my blog.
I really love the way knitted hats look but I can’t knit… so I thought it would be fun to design a beanie using crochet stitches that looked like knitting.
This pattern is listed as Intermediate but I provide a video tutorial and picture tutorial along with the pattern, its actually quite easy! You can find the tutorial on my YouTube Channel.
A lot of my testers found it was easier to go down a hook size to do the band and then go back up to an “L” hook to create the body of the hat.

- This pattern suggests using chunky yarn but you may substitute 2 strands of Worsted Weight yarn to achieve the same look.
