Product Details

The Sunbeam Sweater pattern is designed with 'beams' of bobbles radiating from the neck and is worked from the top down. It is made with dk/light weight/8 ply yarn, but works well with Aran/medium weight/10ply yarn and 5mm hook (*size down for this option). Gauge height is less important here as you can very easily work to the given measurements instead of row counts. Length is also adjustable to suit your style.

The sleeves are designed to taper out half way in a subtle bell style.

Sizes are XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL, with the option of 4XL*

To fit chest/bust measurements: XS 82-87cm (32 – 34”) Small 87-92cm (34-36”) Medium 92-97cm (36-38”) Large 97-102cm (38-41.5”) XL 103-109cm (42-44”) XXL 110-118cm (45-47”) XXXL 118-127cm (47-50”)

If you like more positive ease than shown in the photos simply jump up one size.

The body ribbing requires a smaller hook and starting chain needs to be loose so a 6mm (ish) hook is handy.

Stitches used are (US) dc, sc, dc5tog, scblo, fphdc, bphdc.

Notes
A larger hook, around 6mm is handy for the starting chain. If you choose to use 10ply/Aran weight yarn, use a 5mm hook and size down.

Clear instructions except the gauge (how can you make a partial stitch?) Guessed and went down 0.75 mm hook size, so I hope I’m right or it’ll be an unhappy surprise at the end. Cute design, which I’m modifying with colour work bobbles.
