Product Details
This pattern fits 18-inch (46 cm) American Girl dolls.
The dress is started at the underarm with a provisional cast on, then worked in the round towards the hem. A series of increases that start at the waist make the skirt flare; a band of garter stitch finishes the hem. The bodice stitches are then picked up, and the ribbed neckline is worked to the top of the shoulders. The neckline and headband need to be very stretchy and should be bound off loosely in pattern. If necessary, use a needle that is one size larger.
This pattern requires about 200 yards of self-striping sock yarn.
