I have a lot of sport weight yarn in my stash so I have been making socks. They are cosy but not too thick that you can't wear them with shoes. All you need is 65g of one colour, 30g of another and 15g of another so it is the perfect way to use up your leftover yarn and they knit up quickly.
I used a 3.5mm circular needle but you can use a 3mm for a snugger fit. These are knitted from the top down.
