Free pattern revision for anyone who would like to make this scarf pattern into a wider scarf or a Prayer Shawl or any shawl
Here is a revision of the original 25 stitch scarf that can be worked using any type of yarn you desire to achieve a wider scarf or a prayer shawl. This pattern revision will start with a 37 stitch count and by adding multiples of 10 you can increase the width to create a prayer shawl as well. You can use any weight yarn of your own choice. I am not going to give any yarn amounts needed, as I have no idea what you want to make.
This revision will include a 37 stitch chart and written instructions for chart as well as how to widen the stitch count in case you want to knit a shawl.
I do advise that you use these U.S. needle sizes to go with the yarn weight of your choice and to whether you are making a wider scarf or a shawl.
Lace yarn—needle sizes U.S. 3-4
Fingering yarn—sizes 4-6
Sport yarn—sizes 6-8
Worsted yarn—sizes 8-9
