Bright monsters not your thing then why not knit using a subtle pallete of khaki, beige and brown?
The cardigan is easy to knit in DK weight yarn. The pieces are knit from the bottom up and seamed. The monster face is worked using the intarsia method and a chart AND full written instructions are provided in the pattern, (not a fan of working from charts, then you are sorted).
