What is Being Made

The Silla (Bulky women) is an asymmetrical cardigan designed for women, available in seven sizes ranging from XS to 3XL with bust circumferences from 33 to 51 inches. This knitted cardigan features a modern asymmetrical construction and is fastened with three 20 mm buttons. The garment lengths range from 22½ to 29½ inches depending on size, making it a versatile layering piece suitable for various body types and style preferences.

Techniques Used

This knitting pattern employs fundamental techniques appropriate for beginner-level knitters. The construction involves working in the round using circular needles, which creates seamless sections and allows for efficient stitch management. The pattern utilizes increases and decreases to shape the asymmetrical silhouette, including yarn overs for decorative or structural elements. Stitch markers are used throughout to help track pattern repeats and shaping points. The wrist sections are worked with a modified garter stitch technique when knitting in the round, alternating knit and purl rounds to create the characteristic textured appearance of garter stitch in circular knitting.

Materials and Tools
