Product Details
My comfort shawl - a basic knit with just a bit of pretty lace for femininity. This shawl with a lace edge can be knit in garter or stockinette. Garter gives a nice squishy fabric that’s super cuddly, and feather & fan lace creates lovely scallops.
A perfect size to wrap up in that’s not too large, but can easily be modified. Shawl is knit top down from the center neck to the lace edging, shaping the top and spine with increases.

Yarn ~ 4 skeins Plymouth Yarns Encore Worsted (200yds/182m, 3.5oz/100g, 25% wool/75% acrylic) Shown in #149 Periwinkle Heather
or 800 yds/732m of any worsted weight yarn (dk-chunky can be used if altering)
Needles ~ US 9 (5.5mm) 40”/100cm or longer circular needle, or size to obtain gauge
US 10 (6mm) 40”/100cm or longer circular needle for border
Gauge (not critical) ~ garter – 15 sts and 30 rows = 4”/10cm
stockinette – 18 sts and 28 rows = 4”/10cm
