Product Details
It looks complicated but is quite easy to make. Simple geometry and classic granny square is what everyone loves. Gauge checking is necessary to avoid making it way too big or small. I also recommend reading the entire pattern from the beginning to the end to get a general idea of the process before you start working.
The poncho is a rectangle with an oval neck opening. First, you work two stripes made of granny square motifs joined together as you work their last round using the single crochet join-as-you-go method. Then you add stripes working in rows lengthwise along the granny square stripe’s edges, leaving a hole for the neck opening. To leave a hole for the neck opening, you break your work in two at the specified point, work the front and the back parts separately, then join them together in the center front/back of the garment.
