I couldn't find a market bag pattern I liked, so I designed one similar to some older felt bags I had made . You will need two crochet hooks : - one for the two sides and the smaller one for the straps . The advantage of this style is that it has a strong gusset and straps all in one piece so that you can carry your goodies home from the markets confidently. Please note that the pattern will refer to a discontinued yarn ( Sirdar Simply Recycled Aran. I have now changed the requirements to Paintbox Yarns Recycled Cotton Worsted . I have used UK crochet terms and included a separate pattern for US terms .
