Product Details
Sailing is an asymmetric triangle shawl knit in comforting garter stitch, with bands of stocking stitch included for geometric interest and texture.
The pattern is written for both DK / 8 ply and Fingering / Sock / 4 ply yarn, and is ideal for saturated, speckled, tonal, and variegated colours.
The shawl size can be adjusted by adding or omitting pattern sections to suit the amount of yarn you have.
Yarn Requirements
Fingering version: Approximately 400 yards / 366 metres of fingering / sock / 4 ply yarn.
DK version: Approximately 516 yards / 472 metres of DK or light worsted yarn.
Gauge
Fingering version: 18 sts and 36 rows per 4 inches / 10 cm on 4 mm needles in garter stitch after blocking.
DK version: 13 sts and 24 rows per 4 inches / 10 cm on 5.5 mm needles in garter stitch after blocking.
