Just love knitting with Rowan felted tweed. I have made 14 men’s cardigans to date for friends and hubby. Would like to knit one in every colour but there are just so many cardigans a guy can wear. The pattern is from Rowan book. The tones are just beautiful.

I bought this yarn to knit a waistcoat from a pattern by Kate Harvie. I chose a selection if soft blues and greys and loved the result, including the feel of the yarn. I decided to knit another one in brighter shades, but I am less happy with the result as I find the colours look rather synthetic and harsh. Choose your colours carefully!
I wanted to knit a 18" toy cat and the recommended wool was alpaca which I won't use due to the cruelty involved. I had a devil of a job finding a yarn that would do the business. I bought rowan tweed dk and the end result is brilliant. I think it looks better than the picture of the cat in the original wool ! Nice to knit with and a fair price.
Feels good to knit with doesn’t split and slides off the needle nicely. Is a nice weight like the results when knitted.
The order came very quickly from Lovecrafts and I’ve made a good start on a cardigan. The Rowan felted tweed yarn knits up very well and I will have enough yarn to complete the project. It is always a worry when buying yarn online that you will have the correct amount to finish the project but the felted tweed is knitting up very economically
Rowan Felted Tweed is a beautiful yarn to work with. The stitch definition is fabulous is perfect for all types of knitting, especially colourwork. It is a lightweight DK can be used as a 4ply also. The range of colours is a joy to all your crafting projects! 🌞🧶🧶
Delivery arrived within a few days, well packaged in a waterproof bag. I just love using Rowan Felted Tweed DK for my projects. Not a bulky yarn, feels lightweight and shows off a stranded knit pattern well. The tweed effect allows colours to mix well and merge into each other. It is pricey but can't beat the quality.
