Get noticed in the striking stripes of these cozy 2-Colour Brioche mittens! While the Red and Black of my initial design (reminiscent of the French Revolution) inspired the name, these beautiful mittens would look amazing with many colour combinations.
The two yarns worked throughout are much warmer than plain stockinette mittens, and the long cuff will keep snow out of sleeves. With clear instructions, including photos of brioche stitches and a one-page photo tutorial for Long-Tail Cast On with 2 colours, this is the perfect way to experiment with 2-colour brioche knitting. Cast on at the cuff and work in rib stitch, then switch to brioche stockinette to work the hand, finishing with the thumb.
These are such a fun knit, you might have a hard time making just one pair--but fortunately, with sizes from toddler up to men's, you won't have to!
This is the perfect complement to the Revolution Toque pattern, also available in sizes Infant's to Men's Large in my store.

- Use two contrasting colours of a natural fibre yarn. Brioche does not work well with 100% synthetic fibres. I used a superwash wool.
