Raspberry Cream Placemat

Raspberry Cream is a colour-block knitted placemat pattern, own design by Blue Balloon Atelier. Very satisfying and frugal pattern. It can be made rather quickly and it uses very little yarn, often scraps from much bigger projects. Of course if you make only one placemat.

If you are planning to make more please remember to multiply quantities of yarns needed.

The project is using intarsia and fair-isle technics which may not be the choice for a beginner, but, in fact, the design is simple enough to be used by a confident beginner. It is a great project to start working with intarsia and fair-isle - relatively quick to knit, simple but striking design, so the result is very satisfying. Although the project is so small, you will create a finished and practical product!
