Product Description

Look who's in the lettuce patch! This little one isn't interested in lettuce though, just chocolate.

This is a knitted 'Rabbit in the Lettuce Patch' , that has been designed to cover a chocolate orange. Once the chocolate is all gone, the rabbit snuggling in the lettuce can be used as a decorative item.

The cover measures approx. 17 cms.

The pattern includes instructions on how to make the rabbit & lettuce with a list of abbreviations. The pattern is written in English & can be printed onto 1 piece of paper (front & back).

All pieces are knitted flat on a pair of straight 3.25mm & 4mm knitting needles (US 3 & 6). The pattern is worked using stocking stitch.

The pattern uses DK yarn (double knitting or light worsted weight); less than 25g (80 yards) of brown & green & oddments of cream, white & pink. 2 black safety eyes (8mm).

No problems

Easy pattern to follow. I made a few alterations when sewing up, it's easier to thread yarn through stitches rather than cast off for the arms for example. Not possible to insert safety eyes after you've finished the head, I used beads sewn on after (OK because not for a child). Pleased with the result.

Satisfactory experience

Very cute pattern which was easy to knit and very cute when finished. Not very good at embroidery, so I did not put veins into the lettuce leaves.
