This is a half-circle pi shawl, worked flat. It features sunshine and rain, seagulls, the Olympic Mountains, and waves lapping the shore. The various "rings" incorporate lace, stripes, and slipped stitch color work; only one color is used per row.
Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but if your gauge is significantly different, you may require more or less yarn than specified.
