Do you want to crochet something trendy? Make a crochet shrug with this Positano mesh shrug pattern!
This crochet shrug works up quickly with aran or worsted weight cotton yarn and with a 4.5 mm crochet hook. The skill level is easy and written in US terminology. The shrug pattern includes written instructions, a crochet chart and helpful photos and illustrations.
The shrug comes in sizes XS-5XL.
The mesh shrug in the photos is crocheted with Novita Aamu yarn (color: Mandarin). You can also use other aran or worsted weight cotton yarn, such as Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran. I suggest to make a gauge swatch. The gauge is a bit over 1 repeat of mesh and 3 rows in 5 cm (2”). Mesh repeat = 2-dc-shell + 6 ch.
Yardage (Novita yarn): XS-XL 2 balls (2x100 g, 380 m / 416 yards). 2XL-5XL 3 balls (3x100 g, 570 m / 624 yards). For the size 2XL, 2 balls might be just enough but not necessarily.
