Popcorn Round Pillow

My popcorn round pillow is a large circle pillow with a popcorn stitch center. One of my favorite pillows that I have made is my pink ombre pops pillow; it is a square pillow with a popcorn stitch center, so I thought it would be fun to make an another one that is a round pillow! To ensure that the popcorn stitches pop, I combined two different yarn weights for this pillow. The popcorn center is made with Cascade Nifty Cotton Splash yarn in the shade candy. It is one of my favorite yarns! It is medium weight yarn; however, it is a very light weight medium yarn, so I would make a gauge swatch (17 sts in 8 rows = 4 inches with double crochet stitches). The green is Cascade Ultra Pima in the color chartreuse. I used two skeins of it, and it is DK weight yarn. You will also need an 18 in round pillow insert and 5 buttons which allow the pillow to be taken on and off of the insert. There are some pictures included throughout the written pattern to help you.
