Product Details
About the Design: The pattern contains a super bulky wt. version in small child, med. child and med. ladies' sizes. It also includes a bulky wt. version, for the 2 girls’ sizes, with 17.25 / 20.5" finished circ, and 4 / 4.5" depth.
I used Cascade Yarns Eco+, held triple, for the super bulky wt. versions. For the bulky wt. girls' versions, I used the Eco+ held double. I also used Lamb's Pride Worsted, held double. Certainly, do use a bulky or super bulky wt. yarns, if you prefer, so long as you get gauge.
Yarns need to be NON-superwash and either wool or a wool blend with a natural fiber, like alpaca, in order to full. Synethics and superwash will not full.
Super Bulky Gauge: (unfulled) 10 sts & 16 rnds = 4″ (10 cm) in St st using 3 strands Eco+ or 2 strands Alpaca Boucle and size 11 ndls or size to give gauge.
**Bulky Gauge: **14 sts & 20 rnds = 4″ (10 cm) in St st using either yarn and size 10 ndls or size to give gauge. To save time, take time to check gauge.
