Perfectly soft yarn for knitting
I always buy from Lovecrafts and use Paintbox yarn if possible. It’s soft, doesn’t split when knitting, and I always get good results. I'm using it for knitting a shawl which isn’t finished yet. Perfectly.

Paintbox Yarns Simply DK is a 100% acrylic DK yarn, 302yds (276m) per ball, knitting to 22 stitches and 30 rows over 10cm on 4.00mm (US 6) needles; recommended crochet hook 4.00mm (F). Paintbox Yarns is our own brand, designed in house.
The palette is what sets it apart: brights, pastels and muted tones developed as one range, so shades chosen from opposite ends of it still sit together in a single project. That makes it a natural fit for striped and colorwork blankets, granny squares, amigurumi and children’s knits.
Acrylic keeps it machine washable and hard-wearing, and it takes a low tumble dry — worth having in anything made for a child.
Care: machine wash at 30°C, low heat tumble dry, cool iron, do not bleach.

I had previously ordered a value pack in the same colour and needed an extra pack to finish the blanket I was making. The wool does not split when crocheting and had a very slight sheen to it which is nice. It is really good value for money and I have ordered 3 addition value packs in different colours.
I have not started the project for which this yarn was purchased, however, I have used it to crochet previous projects and find it an excellent yarn. A generous selection of beautiful colours which are not washed out and the yarn does not pill or fray and works very smoothly.
