Perfect yarn for Christmas stockings

I have an American knitting pattern for Christmas stockings that I was given over 40 years ago. I think I have made hundreds over the years. The colours and weight of Paintbox Aran are just right for the stockings. Many American patterns use worsted weight, and the Aran weight is a very useful substitute. Perfect yarn for my projects
