Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran

I'm using it for a mosaic crochet blanket for Halloween. It's fantastic. It's not done yet.

I like the good quality wool. I'm using it for Xmas blankets.

I have an American knitting pattern for Christmas stockings that I was given over 40 years ago. I think I have made hundreds over the years. The colours and weight of Paintbox Aran are just right for the stockings. Many American patterns use worsted weight, and the Aran weight is a very useful substitute. The range of colours means that it’s easy to pick out red, green, and white as traditional colours, then for example browns and beiges for reindeer. I’ve made one already, and it’s still...

I'm following a pattern for a baby blanket, and it's lovely yarn to work with. It feels like quality yarn, not stiff like some acrylics. I have finished it and washed it on a gentle cycle, it came up beautiful.

Overall, I like how the yarn is made.It has a tight wrap that's pleasant to crochet. However , for already come across one section where there's a factory join and it was joined in the wrong direction. This had several yards where it was unwound.On the other side , and I had to cut it rewind , it , which was tiresome and then rejoin. Also a problem, there were sections where the plastic wrap over the skeins was over.The actual yarn and I've had to cut out and rejoin it over that damaged area....

3 packages of 10 used: Out of first ten skeins of under 300yds, at least three had not knots in them and 2 were caught up in plastic wrapper around yarn bundle and had to be spliced. One skein had a knot that was joined on the second half, with the twust going the other way, and I had to cut it and reconnect properly losing another six inches of yarn and a half hour re-twisting. The picture shows where one of skeins was damaged by the plastic covering. Marked it to knot when I got there.

The package arrived in a box, Love Crafts kept their commitment to cover duties upfront. I had no other hidden cost when my yarn arrived. As for my paint box yarn it is one of the favourite yarns. I use to create beautiful blankets. I love all the colours too bad I don't have space for it all. The yarn holds up to washing, I've seen blankets that my clients have had for years and their blankets are still in great condition even though paintbox Aran yarn is NOT described as non-pilling.

This is my first time knitting with paintbox (Aran) yarn. It is lovely to work with and the Aran pattern stands out well. There have been no knots in the yarn either. I found the 20 ball pack to be excellent value and would certainly purchase in the future. I haven’t had the opportunity to wash yet but 🤞 when I do hopefully it will wash well. The only issue I had was with delivery. Having been notified the package would be delivered between specific hours on specific days I made myself...

Amazing quality aran yarn. Finished an aran cardigan for a 3 year old and it turned out perfect.

I make blankets for the charity Project Linus. They require acrylic yarn for knit or crocheted blankets, so I'm always searching for yarn that is soft, knits without splitting, is reasonably priced with a variety of colors and makes up nicely....Paint Box Simply Aran meets my criteria perfectly.
