I'm knitting a halter neck top for my granddaughter. The colours are fantastic and it has a sheen when knitted. I think you have to be patient with it and precise, as you can miss a strand when knitting, and you have to ensure that you have got all of the yarn on your needle when knitting.
I’ve been meaning to try this yarn for some time so treated myself in the sale. In fact now I’ve bought some I’m not sure, it’s actually more orange and bright than I’d anticipated - my mistake, the picture on the website is accurate, it’s just that looking at a pack of 10 balls maybe it’s a bit much. Nevertheless I still plan to use it for the basket weave pattern I’d planned (free from Paintbox) - if I’m not keen on the result for myself I’m sure my younger daughter would love it!
Paintbox metallic was alot softer than I was expecting I was concerned about the metallic thread running through it. It soft and butter and I love the hot pink and teal color combination. The one recommendation I have is to use a simple stitch due to the metallic thread running through it. If you do a more detailed crochet stitch some of the detail will be lost
Beautiful silky yarn, easy to knit with and looks and feels great.
I wanted something to knit chain mail for a comedy sketch, and the two shades of grey made this perfect!
Nice yarn but colour is not as pictured. The Metallic element is not very shiny and the colour Sangria which looks like a bright, Christmasy red in the photograph is actually cerise pink. It knits up smoothly and holds together well as the man etallic fibres are fused to the yarn rather than being separate.
Bought this to make a cardigan for a friend and she loves it, the wool is lovely and soft and a gorgeous colour too.
Lovely product to work with, I was worried it might be a bit rough or scratchy because it's metallic, but it so soft. Can't wait to wear the cardigan I made with it.
