I used paintbox cotton yarn for a throw which was all one colour, however the pattern was full of texture. This yarn allowed me to express my talent to its full potential. And the 10 ball pack is a bargain.
The cotton Aran is knitting up quickly. It doesn't split but is harder to move on my metal needles, hence 4 stars not 5. Jumper not complete yet (difficult pattern) so no photo!

Lovely colors, soft enough for baby garments.

Loving the colours
I have crocheted a hoodie for a 3 yr.old. It has turned out very well. The cotton splits easily with the crochet hook, but after a while you get used to handling it. All in all I would recommend.
